VALVE Release New Battle Pass for Dota 2 and Launch Winter Event
VALVE have released a winter update for Dota 2 that launches a new iteration of the Aghanim’s Labyrinth event and introduces the new Battle Pass. On top of that, the update adds a controller support to the game.
Aghanim’s Labyrinth, a rogue-like mode that was first introduced a year ago, this time will be called The Continuum Conundrum. Just like last year, it allows teams of four players (either pre-made formed via matchmaking) to fight different PvE enemies – once you clear one room, you will be able to choose between two bonuses for the next room. Initially players are able to pick fourteen heroes with adjusted abilities; however, it is possible to unlock last year’s heroes via collecting Arcane Fragments. The fragments also allow you to get permanent buffs for the game mode. To play this game mode, you do not need to purchase the Battle Pass.
The basic Battle Pass costs $7.49, with an option to buy Level 50 Bundle for $26.99 and Level 100 Bundle for $41.99. The Pass works similar to the previous ones, allowing players to level it via Cavern Crawl and Weekly Quests. The most notable rewards of the Pass are the Mirana Persona on level 135 and the Drow Ranger Arcana on level 333.
One of the most surprising aspects of the update is the introduction of the controller support, which currently works in the experimental mode and is disable by default. The feature with any controller supported by Steam Input. The controller support is still in active development so VALVE ask players to provide them feedback.
You can learn more about the update on its official page.
